Build Your Brand with Custom T-Shirts

With custom t-shirts, you have endless opportunities to promote your business, organization, charity, school, team or services. Choose from a variety of well-loved, name brand tees in various colors and styles to pair with your logo.

Need help picking the right t-shirt? Here are a few tips to help you choose the best shirt for your event, giveaway or campaign.

1. Choosing a T-Shirt
First, start with your budget. When you know how much you can spend, you will know what price point you can choose for your t-shirts. Consider several options in your price range and review the features and available colors of each before making your final decision. A white t-shirt is often the most budget-friendly option. Many vendors charge extra, called an upcharge, for special colors (darks or heathers) or for larger sizes (usually 2X and above). When choosing a dark or patterned t-shirt (e.g. tie dye, camo, etc.), keep in mind your logo may get lost in the pattern. You may need an underlay imprint to ensure your logo isn’t washed out or the shirt pattern doesn’t show through the ink. These are additional charges that can quickly increase your total cost. If brand name camo shirts aren’t in your price point, consider one of the many “generic” camos available. If you are considering junior tees, these shirts tend to run small. A woman who normally wears a small tee may need a medium or large in junior sizes. If your audience consists of average size women, a junior-style t-shirt may not be an ideal fit.

2. Determine Quantity or Quality
If you have a large crowd and a tight budget, you’ll want to find a basic, cost-effective tee to ensure your entire audience gets a shirt they can wear. On the other hand, if you have a smaller group (such as your staff or sports team) consider choosing higher quality shirts that will stand up to repeat washings.

3. Know Your Audience
To attract female crowds, choose stylish options like deep v-necks, dolman sleeves or longer shirts to pair with leggings. Performance t-shirts are popular with all ages and are a good fit for physical activities and the athleisure trend. For events with a diverse audience, stick with a basic t-shirt everyone will enjoy. Softer and lighter is the key. Tri-blend t-shirts and 4.5 oz. shirts are the way to go.

If you pick the right t-shirt and add your unique logo, recipients are sure to wear these tees multiple times. This means multiple impressions for you and your brand. Be sure to check out the selection of men’s, ladies' and youth styles at Staples Promotional Products.
