How to Promote Your Brand on Labor Day

According to the United States Department of Labor, Labor Day “constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity and well-being of our country.” More than 100 years have passed since the very first Labor Day holiday was celebrated in 1882, and though the celebration has evolved to fit with the changing times, the American worker has enjoyed a well-deserved day of relaxation.

You know that your company would not be so successful without the dedication and determination of your hard-working crew, so consider using promotional products to show your appreciation. We have three suggestions for you:

1. Getaway Gifts

If your employees love to travel, they may embrace the opportunity to do so during their extended weekend. Offer them gifts such as customized duffel bags, travel mugs and water bottles, luggage tags, and auto safety kits. And, if any of them are headed to the beach one last time, consider supplying them with personalized beach towels, sunglasses or sun skincare kits. Choose a thoughtful gift that will make their end-of-summer vacation memorable.

2. Backyard BBQ Basics

Labor Day weekend is traditionally filled with unofficial end-of-summer get-togethers. Hand out personalized can coozies for employees to use at their own backyard bash, or host a company picnic and raffle off prizes like a logoed portable grill, camp chairs, party coolers and more. You can also consider using smaller items like custom aprons, grill accessories and drinkware to give out to your customers, too. Select a gift that will be used more than once to keep your company front-of-mind every time.

3. Patriotic Pride

Much like the 4th of July, this holiday is about celebrating Americans and how we are living the American dream. Offer your hard workers USA-made apparel and giveaways to help them show off their pride. Choose a variety of red, white and blue promotional products to reinforce your appreciation for the working men and women of America.

Your employees and customers work hard all year long, so be sure to reward them by helping them enjoy a day off with some personalized gifts from your brand.
